Spooks

She was writing on her blog. She had had quite a good idea, and was looking at it from various angles, when she found that her attention was wandering. Looking up from her desk, she saw three apparitions. They hovered, two to her right and one to her left, all of them seemingly absorbed by the words on the computer screen before them. One of them was shaking its head in a mildly disapproving manner. They were barely visible in the light of the morning. She tried to convince herself that she was imagining things because she had slept poorly. She waved her arms around and through them in case they were an exaggerated effect of dust floating in the air. They weren't. In fact, the longer she looked at them the more solid they became. Behind the increasing definition of their shoulders she saw the shadowy forms of new apparitions taking shape. She shook her head, trying to clear it, and tried to remember what she'd been thinking about before she noticed them. Oddly enough, this caused them to fade. She concentrated harder, and began to write.

were they coworkers and a boss? did you get caned for daydreaming on the job? do they cane people in sweden? caning is a lost art, methinks. sorry about the time change. i blame god. unfortunately, blogspot.com is a blocked site on the server at my place of employ. it's silly what's blocked and what isn't so my actual blogging time is limited- probably to while you are asleep. "i think" is a good friend of mine and i am glad you and the martians have spoken with her. are we part of a collective?
i feel like there has to be absolute truth. but, honestly, i feel like "truth" is too broad a term. there needs to be several words signifying different sorts of truth: personal, universal, etcetera. i feel that it is impossible to argue "some" truth with others simply because perception does change truth in some instances. what some people think of as truth is actually belief based on perception. i think that i can't say for a certainty because i am only using 1% of my brain. or less. i am noncommital. you know what i do know? that negative b plus/minus the square root of b squared minus 4ac all over 2a is a truth. and it's not subject to belief. that makes me feel warm inside.

Fille- they were martians and earthlings, actually. I am not a 9to5er (I like how that looks!), so I was at home. It was somewhat of a parable, however obscure.

Caning has been relocated to a verbal level in Sweden, though it is toeing the line these days.

A belated thanks to Gina, who understood faster than I did.

I might figure this deleting business out sometime. I believe my computer is haunted.
