Scribbler's Block
There are millions of things I've never written anything about. Why not just pick one of them? Shrimp, for instance. Or band-aids.
Sam shrimp hurried along, trying to recall which of the Urchin twins was colour blind. Was it Urma, or Ulma? Left or right? Silly creatures, both of them, but this was beyond silliness. Insisting he'd been boiled! He was as green as the rest of the school, he was sure of it, even if he only could see the end of his tail. He pinched two of his legs harder against the band-aid he'd found and swished through the waves towards Cooper's Wharf. He'd show her pink!
There. Both.

Looks like you are scaling oblique literary frontiers with your fishy tales. Hopefully, you will shell this to a publisher. Cod knows you deserve to.
Jeanne, you and Toast deliver a hefty one-two punch. The band-aid snuck up me in a pleasant kind of way. I hope that little shrimp doesn't catch anything off it.
Urchin twins...? Don't they come in gazillions? I ate sushi for lunch today, but I didn't have any of the Uni. I think I'll have blueberry soup for dessert.
Good story - but where was Sponge Bob?
UTMG,
I won't even try :)
Benji,
I fear I am naught but the stooge here.
I wouldn't worry about Sam. His lifespan is so short he won't even have time to develop symptoms.
Terry,
The rest of the "litter" became lunches. Urma and Ulma have repressed that fact, but I think we should let them.
I'll never mention it again (at least to Urma and Ulma. The secret is safe with me. urp.
Napkin? :)
his lifespan would be even shorter in these parts.
Bonus points for writing about Cooper's Warf.
Next time you get writer's block, feel free to ask us to submit random words.
I'll stop carping on, then.
benji,
I am left wonderong if you are referring to species longevity or greedy Nova Scotians. Or perhaps to some local maniac who eliminates Sams?
Joe,
Random words, please.
Actually, I believe this is gestation, not constipation. We'll see when it comes out.
UTMG,
We'll sea.
sort of the second one. not so much greedy though as poor. or in some cases, otherwise unskilled (as in, lobsterin's in their blood). sam's are mighty tasty though, so whatever we do, let's not blame the consumer.
Had a lovely Swedish meal at Ikea in Iceland this past week ago... It wasn't as good as the one we get in the Oakland, CA Ikea. How's the one in Sweden?
Terry,
I've only eaten at IKEA once, actually. Eating out here is very expensive, so I save my opportunities for the 70's-reminiscent vegetarian hippy buffet. Besides, I only have to eat there ONE MORE TIME to get a free meal from their regulars' stamp card.
Sorry to have neglected you so long. It's been an odd time, and I've been avoiding the internet.
