Okay, what's next? :-) Let me know how the mulled cider turns out - yum yum. Do you grow your own apples?

What?

WHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTT?!?!?

I live in the south west of England - quite possibly the spiritual home of Cider.

Local band 'The Wurzels' - famed for the woefully stereotypical depiction of a country bumpkin that anyone born in my vicinity generally gets lumbered with - write many songs based on Cider, most notably 'I am a Cider Drinker' and 'Drink up thee Cider.'

Terry,
We rent a two acre orchard filled with apples and pears (and potatoes). Owing to the late winter, we're still able to pick and press. Now all we need is lots of bottles and time....

Dammit! I'd just bought you one for Christmas. Now I have to head all the way back to the cider press store to return it.

Well, happy cidering, regardless!

Joe,
That almost falls into the catagory of virtual Christmas presents, which are my favorite kind. Allow me to recipricate. What do you want me to wish I could give you for Christmas? The sky is the limit.

Say - Happy New Year Jeanne :-) Have any of that great apple cider yet? Brrrr - it is still cold over here, but not as cold as my recent trip to the Northern part of the country this past week. Good apple weather - LOL

Oh, I'm so glad you said CIDER press and not SPIDER press, I really like arachnids but, hey, no protests against apple-squishin'! Cheers!

and Happy New Year!

Consise,
Thanks, and the same to you. What I need is space, and although I'm not blaming Santa, that situation got worse instead of better right around Christmas. I have so much of what I want otherwise that it doesn't fit or I have no room to do it in. Grumble grumble.

Terry,
HNY too. The yard is too muddy to press cider in, and pressing inside is NEVER happening again. Today was a bit below freezing, and it hasn't rained for two days, so perhaps we'll have a chance again before the elusive winter sets in.

sidhe,
I used to hate spiders, but oddly enough they don't bother me anymore. I don't know if this is good, i.e. I have grown more loving and tolerant, or bad, i.e. the things that frighten me now are so big and nasty that spiders are nothing in comparison.
Whichever it is, I don't think I will ever grow to appreciate spider juice.
Happy 2007, a year with a nice ring to it. I am assuming that you are as fond of sevens etc. as I am.
